tareq yousef holds a phd in anatomy and neurobiology from dalhousie university, having produced a thesis on the neuromodulatory properties of nitric oxide in the process of light adaptation in the vertebrate retina. as an assistant professor of teaching at ubc's okanagan campus, tareq's focus on horizontal cells has become one on pedagogy and curriculum with a special interest in equity in neuroscience.

shubhneet s. is a third-year bsc psychology student on track to pursue an honours thesis. the proposed topic of this work will be similar to shubhnet's current directed studies project, which explores students’ attitudes and engagement with generative artificial intelligence in post-secondary education. shubhneet's research interests revolve around equity, mental health, learning, cognition, and social relationships. after undergrad, shubhneet hopes to pursue graduate studies and work in the fields of research and education.

lucas weigert is a third-year undergraduate student on track to complete an honours thesis. lucas has a passion for constant growth and learning which has led to an interest in research. as an aspiring physician, lucas has an obsession with how we can optimise our physical and mental health. lucas' current focus is how new forms of information transfer such as short-form video content (tiktok and instagram reels) impact our mental functioning. specifically, lucas is investigating whether habitual short-form video consumption shapes our attention span.
